Welcome to the Class of 1960 Website!

We are the class that started the sixties. We made it all the way through high school without McDonald's or Burger King! We had to eat lunch on campus, and fast food was a baloney sandwich and a carton of milk. Try telling that to your kids and grandkids!

We were innocent -- well, mostly. We thought we were sooooooo grown up, but now we know we were children. That's easy to figure when you look back at our old annuals. Who WERE those people? Why do they look so different when we see them now?

Dwight Eisenhower was our president. JFK hadn't been elected yet, much less assassinated. We hadn't put a man on the moon, and practically nobody had microwaves.

We wouldn't go back if we could, but every now and then, it's fun to take a walk down "memory lane" -- down the stardust trail, where the deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls. We were the lucky ones. Mr. Wyatt was our principal, and most of us realized even back then how special that made us. We knew he missed his son, and when that announcement would come over the PA system, usually during 6th period when you were getting sleepy and antsy and wished the school day was over, there would be Mr. Wyatt playing "Stardust." Then you got to leave early, and you felt somehow connected to the past.

That's what this website is about -- connecting to our past. Remembering the ones we hung out with who are no longer around. Honoring our teachers. Sharing the lives we've lived for fifty years since graduation night, 1960.

Our 50th reunion celebration has come and gone, but the reuniting has just begun.

SO...what did YOU do the summer of 1960... and the next 49 years?
